Who we are

Influence IRL ("we", "us") operates influence-irl.app, a marketplace connecting brands and agencies with local creators for real-world campaigns. Influence IRL is currently operated by an individual founder rather than an incorporated company.

Information we collect

When you join our waitlist or create an account, we collect information you provide directly, such as your email address, city, social media handles, follower counts, engagement rates, rates, payment preferences, and (optionally) the first three characters of your postal code. Brands may provide company name, industry, website, and campaign details.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate the marketplace — matching creators with campaigns, displaying applications to brands, and sending you relevant updates about your account or our launch. We do not sell your personal information.

Email communications and your consent

We only send marketing emails (like waitlist and launch updates) to people who have explicitly opted in via a consent checkbox. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any email. This complies with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and similar rules in other jurisdictions.

Sharing your information

A creator's profile information and campaign applications (including any price they offer) are shared with the brand posting that campaign. We use third-party service providers (such as Supabase for our database and Vercel for hosting) who process data on our behalf under their own security practices.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

International transfers

We operate across Canada, the United States, and (soon) the United Kingdom. Your information may be processed in any of these locations by our service providers.

Children

Influence IRL is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
